Qi, The basis of material
Do you sometimes feel goose bumps hit up to the center of your brain? How about choking power into your throat down from your navel when you cry? Those power driving our tissues are called 'Qi' in oriental terminology, or 'bioenergy' in western one. Ancient concept on Qi often leads us to modern physics, since Qi was categorized as the source of material in ancient texts. Qi forms material after cogealed.
Qi is the origin of our body, which keeps the shape and the function. According to the ancient texts, as far as Qi freely flows, our bodies don't have any pain, or disease at all. It is the blockage of qi that causes diseases.
